Schomberg: Map to Schomberg
Historic Schomberg - East off Hwy 27 and just south of Hwy 9. The Brown Bros., Pennsylvania Quakers arrived in 1830 and worked the land. It didnt' take long before there was a mill, bank, general stores, tannery, blacksmith and wagon shop, hotels and two shoe stores serving the 1850 population of 100. First named Brownsville who's named changed to Schomberg after the coming of the 1862 post office. Prosperity continued with the coming of the Aurora Schomberg Railway terminus. 1852 saw the first Schomberg Agricultural Fair which we still enjoy today. Schomberg, Schomberg Fair
